When was the last time you let your heart sing? Or chose to do something just because( no hidden agenda) and remember how good it felt? Play is so essential to ~staying~balanced and it’s what nourishes our soul. When we were kids it was all we ever wanted to do. Nowadays life gets so busy and hectic it seems at times like its the last thing we can do…
How to Nourish your Soul? First and foremost you have to give yourself the space to PLAY. When you play, there can’t be any agendas or goals. When we are spontaneous or playful, joy will surface. No plans, no lists, no nothing. You just ARE. Thats the beauty of PLAY. And it can happen anywhere. Thanks to Geoffrey Huckaby and his spiritual guidance, he inspired me to not only write this blog, but to incorporate more activities in my life (right now in particular) that nourishes and feeds me vs. detoxing/taking away from me ( esp. since I have been working so hard these days!!)
Those of you that know me, I love to “work” because it is my calling and it’s never been work for me. It’s what I believe I came into this world to do and it is truly gratifying. I love guiding and watching people “wake up” to their highest potential and feel good about themselves…but I’ll admit it, I get sucked into it and I get so busy myself that I struggle to make time to play…
Of course here I am now trying to find a happy medium. Aren’t we all? Balance is the key to happiness. It’s what I preach and what I intend to live by. When we feel balanced, play doesn’t feel like a chore, but it will come naturally because it is our nature!
I made a commitment to myself before the beginning of the new year…to dance more ( because that’s what makes my spirit sing), and to travel to places that I have never been to before. It’s been a dream of mine to travel to Turkey, and I am finally going!!!! I get to PLAY in what I’ve heard as one of the most beautiful places in the world!!!!! No work, no agenda, I’m going to relax, rejuvenate, and JUST BE. All I have to do is create the space, which I already have! Writing this I realize that I had manifested it since the beginning of the year, maybe even before…I am so grateful for the opportunities life presents itself to me, and I feel empowered knowing that I am the creator of my own destiny! As we all are! So many adventures this year! I hope this inspires you to PLAY some more…
