Gluten Free Black Sesame Mochi Waffle Recipe
GLUTEN FREE BLACK SESAME MOCHI WAFFLES
* Serves 2
What you’ll need:
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
* 1/4 cup of coconut sugar
* 1 cup of Mochiko Flour
* 1/4 cup of Almond meal
* 1 egg
* 1/2 tsp of vanilla or almond extract
* 3/4 cup of nut milk
* 4-5 heaping TBS of black sesame paste OR 1-2 TBS of Matcha Flour for Matcha Waffles:) * I make 1 of each. *Reduce the amount of sesame and matcha to half if you plan to do the same🤍
HOW TO MAKE:
* Preheat waffle maker
* Mix dry ingredients-baking powder, flour, sugar, mochiko and almond flour, sesame paste or matcha powder.
* In another bowl mix wet ingredients-almond extract, nut milk, egg.
* Add wet to dry ingredients and mix well.
* Butter up or spray your waffle maker and add half the mix.
* I turn my waffle maker to a medium-high to give it a good crunch. Don’t worry, it will still have a nice chew to it, mochi style:))
Dress up your sesame waffle with sesame paste and maple syrup, it’s the best!!
