Re~Invent Yourself this New Year!

your never too old...Happy New Year! I LOVE January and the freshness and newness it brings to my spirit. It’s also a creative time for me, and I enjoy planning all the inspiring workshops and people that I want to study with. {{{Setting intentions}}} and reaffirming old ones. An old skin is {{{shedding}}} and there’s a great opportunity to start a new! And it’s not just because its a new year, in reality you can reinvent yourself in any moment of the day or year. I guess starting a new year is a great place to start! I want to share with you ways of being that have shifted my perspective on life and how it has helped me to re-invent myself, over and over again! Hopefully it will inspire you with some ideas of your own!

Boundaries and Saying no

Last year I started the year off by starting up my own practice and opened up Sacred Roots Holistic Healing with 2 other amazing wombyn( which I never even imagined myself doing). I learned a lot, especially about boundaries and respecting myself and my clients which led me to creating a new cancellation fee (which you can check out on my newsletter).  After many trials and errors and learning to manage my time more efficiently between work, relationships, social life, and taking care of myself. I needed to create some sort of boundaries and balance in my life… I saw which areas of my life struggled, learned from them, and want to make it easier for myself this year. Learning to say no is actually getting easier…in all aspects of my life.

“Once a year. Go someplace you’ve never been before.” Dalai Lama

I read this inspiring quote a couple years ago, and now these words have been ingrained into my consciousness. Every year I try to go someplace I have never been. Last year I went to Seattle, Wa and to Sedona, Arizona. Places. This year, Hawaii and Turkey?! It’s on my list! Lets see where the wind blows me this year.

Getting out there

I’m setting intentions to get out on the dance floor more( dancing is one of my passions and it sets my spirit free) and I realized this year I didn’t do it as much. It really makes me happy. No more dance classes, just dancing.

Family and Friends

I was really busy this year working ( so blessed and grateful at that) and saw less of my loved ones. I really want to see my friends more and spend quality time with all of you. So I’m going to make more of an effort to do that! You’ll be hearing from me soon!

Keep up the Good Work!

Make yourself a priority, and keep up whatever your doing that makes you feel good and balanced. Life happens and it’s easy to forget and take care of ourselves. I know when I get too busy and aren’t taking care of myself, I don’t like who I become. Consistency is key and make time to be good to you!!

I look forward to connecting with all of you this year!

Love and Blessings,

Jenny
