Growing Pains + My New Website!
It’s been a wild year thus far, so many changes and shifts recently, I’m still trying to digest and make sense of everything. I moved into a new place a month ago, moving in with my partner now going on 4 years, school, seasonal shifts, family drama, transitions in the workplace…whew its been a roller coaster of a ride…All in all, everything is well and I am blessed to be where I am today. I know that these growing pains are a part of my spiritual development and helping me to be a better practitioner, but also a better human being.
The exciting news is, my new and revised website has recently launched. As some of you know, I’ve been called the ‘Jane of all Trades’ because I have so many offering and gifts I love sharing with the community, but recently I have “downsized” and minimized what I want to offer. I’m continuing to follow my life motto of doing less because I believe sometimes less can actually be more. It’s really helped me to stay focused on my life mission. My hope is for my website to be a reflection of those inner changes as I continue to grow.
I also felt called to change my website because there’s a shift in direction with my work. I’ll be in school for the next 4 years, which sounds daunting to me right now but I’ve worked through some of the issues with the whole academia thing ( something I rejected growing up), and now its about being patient and applying all my life lessons such as ‘being in the moment’ and taking everything one step at a time ( not jumping into the future) to help me find ease on this long road ahead. Overall, I’m stoked to be going to acupuncture school, and it feels like another one of my life’s calling. I think everything I’ve done thus far has helped me to get to this point, and in some ways I feel like I’m going back to my roots.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has been in my family for generations and in my household since I was a young child. I remember watching my grandma put moxabustion on her back and having to “cup” my grandmother and mothers back to naturally relieve pain in their achy muscles and joints. I used to have to ingest herbs and all sorts of natural remedies to alleviate my colds and flus. The women in my family have definitely influenced me on a path I believe I was destined for.
I guess you can say now I’m ready! And this is a huge leap for me, and at times when I want to back something continues to propel me forward. So here’s to a another milestone in my life what I would consider a growing pain, but also a huge blessing. And I’m excited to share the journey with all of you.
So here I go!
Great post Jenny–sometimes doing less can actually be more–is right on and a good daily mantra for me. I definitely can relate. So what acupuncture school are you attending? I am glad that you are going after that acupuncture knowledge/degree. I think that you can and will always use it….pick up where your grandma left off and open up more channels.
This appears to be a powerful and empowering time….a time to move forward.
Best of best…..Tanene
Thank you Tanene for the encouragement and kind words!
Missing you in Yoga!!!
Trusting all is well…
