What is Microneedling?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that stimulates collagen production using small sterilized needles. Microneedling the skin creates a micro “trauma” to the area which stimulates our bodies natural healing response, increasing collagen production and the growth of new skin cells.

Collagen is the most abundant protein in our body that makes up all of our connective tissues including: bones, skin, muscle, tendons, ligaments.

Collagen makes up 70-80% of the protein in our skin. After the age of 30, collagen declines. Hence the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, decrease in skin elasticity, etc. Diet, lifestyle, sleep all affect and can speed up the decrease in collagen production. It is also possible to slow down the breakdown of collagen.

Benefits of Micro needling:

  • Microneedling is used to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles, dark spots, large pores, and acne scars.
  • Scalp micro needling may be used to treat alopecia and hair loss.
  • Smoothes uneven skin tone.
  • Micro abrasions to the skin (microneedling) speeds up cellular skin turnover rate improving skin tone and elasticity.
  • Absorption of serums for maximum benefits to the skin and for overall hydration.

What to expect in a microneedling session:

  • Microneedling of neck and face * Additional cost for chest and/or scalp.
  • LED Face treatment
  • Topical hyaluronic acid + phyto stem cell serums.
  • Recommended minimum 3 consecutive treatments ( 1x month)

Alex S.

I’ve been working with Jenny for almost a year and a half now, for issues ranging from improving energy, fertility, orthopedic aches and pains, digestion, to maintaining overall health.

As a healthcare provider myself, I especially appreciate Jenny’s active listening skills and her ability to customize treatments based on my evolving needs. She always seeks to explore different strategies to be even more targeted and effective in her treatments. It truly feels like she cares about my well-being!

When I leave my acupuncture sessions with Jenny, I’m always in a more grounded state and I feel an overall release in my body. My sessions with her have been an important element of self care and I’ve been blessed that it has created overall health and the manifestation of the baby I’ve dreamed of having for many years! Thank you Jenny!

I found Jenny when I was looking for an acupuncturist to support fertility and discovered she has so much to offer with my daily health and wellbeing. Seeing her for acupuncture has addressed a variety of concerns I had from sleep, to my energy levels, and beyond. I had no idea it could be such an essential tool in healing and maintaining overall health. The more she understood about areas of my body or life that I wanted to work on, the more comprehensive her treatment solutions became, including cupping and herbs along with the acupuncture. I’m so grateful to have her in Long Beach.

Today was probably the best college teaching day I’ve ever had. I felt more laid back, loose, and open. Mentally, I was able to adapt more effectively during class discussion, and overall my body felt more relaxed. I noticed the acupuncture, cupping, and body work had a huge impact on my mental and emotional state today. Keep doing what you’re doing and thank you!

Oh wow, what to say! Jenny is an incredible acupuncturist with fantastic intuition and communication. I've been seeing her for a while now for a variety of reasons. From endometriosis to shoulder impingements. She treats the body as a whole instead of in segments. She is an integral part of my healing and maintenance.

“I was in tears about having to leave my acupuncturist when I moved for work, but then I found Jenny!  Jenny creates such a safe space for you to disclose any health concerns and makes it easy to share what is going on in your life that may be contributing to them.  No issue is too big or too small for her undivided attention.  She embodies a calming energy, has a strong natural intuition, and a gentle touch.  I’m so thankful to be seeing her!”
